Rider Quartet, op.74, No.3: 3rd movement

Form scheme
3rd movement		 The minuet sounds like a "Ländler" dance. Its rhythmic impulse originates in the change between legato and the lilting staccato of the melodic line.


bars 1-8 		The main theme of part A.


bars 34-46 		The G-minor trio is emotional, polyphonous in its chromatic structure, irregular in its periods, bold in its harmony and melodic line.
