Brahms memorial place inside the Haydn Museum, Vienna
Haydngasse 19, Vienna, 6th district.
The City of Vienna does not have a special Brahms Museum. The house in which he had lived for 25 years and which was also his deathplace would have been suitable, but it was demolished when the Technical University was enlarged in 1907. Thus in 1980 a special Brahms room was opened on the first floor of Haydn's deathplace, where furniture and souvenirs from the composer's last lodgings are exhibited.
