Brahms memorial plaque, Landstraßer Hauptstraße 96, Vienna, 3rd district

© Photo Archive Schilder

The Arenberg Palais (formerly an Esterhazy Palais) stood there till 1958, now replaced by a modern building. In the entrance you can see a memorial plaque by the sculptor Franz Siegel. The text runs as follows: "Between 1893 and his death, Johannes Brahms spent many hours in this house with the Fellinger family. Many of his works were played here for the first time."
