St.Florian - Bruckner's organ in the abbey

© Photo Archive Schilder

The church of St.Florian radiates brightness and splendour. This atmosphere aims at creating an elevated mood of piety in the visitor when he tries to get into contact with God. The great organ (called Bruckner organ since 1930) was designed by the organ-builder Franz X. Chrisman. The organ case was the work of a carpenter from St.Florian, Christian Jegg. The organ with its 7343 pipes and 103 stops is world-famous for its connection with Bruckner.
