This is the house where Schönberg lived between 1918 and 1925; Ernst Krenek, who was in close contact with Schönberg until the latter's death also stayed there during his visits to Austria 1983 - 1990. After extensive restauration this Schönberg house in Mödling was again opened to the public in 1999. Today the ground floor is open to resident students and scholars who want to get a deeper insight into Schönberg's work.
