Zibermayr, IgnazZibermayr, Ignaz, b. St. Florian (Upper Austria), June 2, 1878, d. Linz (Upper Austria), Oct. 18, 1966, official historian of the province of Upper Austria; 1903 civil servant, director of the Upper Austrian archives in Linz until 1947, head of the Upper Austrian museums´ association (Musealverein) from 1922 to 1947. With his studies tried to demonstrate the continuity of cultural development from Antiquity to the Middle Ages. Publications: Aus meinem Leben, 1935; Noricum, Baiern und Ö.
