WochenschauNewsreel: The first Austrian newsreel shown in cinemas from 1914 was called "Sascha-Meßter-Woche"; it was succeeded by an international newsreel 1931-1933; between 1934 and 1938, the newsreel´s name was "Österreich in Bild und Ton, österreichische Wochenschau" (Austria in images and sound, the Austrian newsreel). 1949 founding of the "Austria Wochenschau GmbH", today Austria Film und Video GmbH.
