Beer; came to Vienna in 1929 after some years on tour; played the buffo in musical comedies and operettas at the Vienna Theater an der Wien and the Vienna Kammerspiele (1929-1931); went on tour again; not employed between 1938 and 1945; after the end of the Nazi era, acted at various theatres in Vienna (1945-1948 Bürgertheater, 1948-1950 Raimundtheater, 1951-1990 Theater in der Josefstadt); became famous through numerous radio ("Die Radiofamilie") and TV productions ("Ringstraßenpalais", "Familie Leitner", "Die liebe Familie").
