Bricklayer's apprentice, then Trade School in Vienna, from 1907 in Munich as draughtsman in architectural studios. 1912/13 at the College of Technology in Munich. 1919-1932 studio in Innsbruck, 1922/23 teacher at the State School of Arts and Crafts Innsbruck; 1929 director of urban building in Plauen, from 1931 studio in Munich. 1939-1942 architectural consultant of the aircraft works in Halle an der Saale, from 1947 professor at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna. Works: House Mimi Settari, Bad Dreikirchen, South Tyrol, 1922/23; Adambräu, Innsbruck, 1926 and 1931; administrative building of the Städt. Elektrizitätswerk Innsbruck, 1926/27; house Treichl, Innsbruck 1929-1931 (destroyed); house Rosenbauer, Linz, 1929-1930; house at Lake Zellersee; Turmhotel Seeber, Hall in Tyrol, 1930-1931; Ehlert Orphanage, Hindelang, Allgäu, 1931-1933; house Heyrovsky, Zell am See, 1932.
