Welt am MontagWelt am Montag, name of a newspaper published in Vienna by the French occupying power from February 18,°1946 until February 28, 1948 and subsequently taken over by the "Welt am Montag-Zeitungsverlagsgesellschaft" publishing company, which had close links with the Austrian Social Democratic Party; was published on Mondays and featured sports. Discontinued on October 2, 1967 and converted into Neue Zeitung. Editors-in-chief were R. Nimmerrichter (until 1963) and others.
