Wald am SchoberpaßWald am Schoberpaß, Styria, municipality in the district of Leoben, alt. 841 m, pop. 746, area 90.45 km2, at the watershed of the Palten Valley and the Liesing Valley. - Small power station; timber trade, transport firms, metal-working industry, tourism; A 9 motorway with 3 km long tunnel. - Gothic parish church (first documented mention 1402, extension 1784-1788) with choir frescoes (1789) by J. Lederwasch and late-Gothic murals (discovered in 1972), bishop´s statue (around 1510-1520); the Protestant parish church (1784, newly built in 1829) is one of the oldest in Styria.
