WagenburgWagenburg Coach Collection, collection of historic carriages for state and everyday purposes of the Kunsthistorisches Museum, since 1922 located in Schönbrunn Palace; one of the most important collections of its kind; comprises more than 100 historical coaches ("Imperialwagen" of the Vienna court, "Karussellwagen" of Maria Theresia), sledges, sedans, harnesses and other riding equipment, paintings of horses and other items from the time of around 1700 to 1918. Attached to the coach collection is the uniform depot in the Leopoldinischer Trakt tract of the Alte Burg palace displaying habits of religious orders, liveries, court uniforms and memorabilia of the imperial family.
