VösendorfVösendorf, Lower Austria, market town in the district of Mödling, alt. 194 m, pop. 3,744, area 10.46 km2, business centre south of Vienna. - Civic centre, sports centre, City Club leisure park; predominantly trading firms (about 63 % of 7,230 gainfully employed in 1991), shopping centre Shopping-City Süd (SCS) with a great variety of businesses (interior design, textiles, DIY store, etc.); in the production sector: optical industry, plate production, coffee roasting plant, trade centre with small businesses. - Gothic parish church with Romanesque wall segments, redecorated in 1628; two-storied moated castle, present form dates from the 2nd half of the 17th century.
