Vladar, Stefan


Vladar, Stefan, b. Vienna, Oct. 2, 1965, pianist and conductor. Trained at the Vienna Musikhochschule (now University of Music and Performing Arts). 1985 won the Beethoven piano competition. Afterwards very successful solo career with international concerts and numerous CD recordings (solo and chamber music). 1994 awarded the Mozart Interpretation Prize by the Vienna Mozart Community. Since 1999 professor at the Vienna University of Music and Performing Arts, since 2000 chief conductor of the Graz Symphony.
