Tyrolean Airways, Tiroler Luftfahrt AktiengesellschaftTyrolean Airways, Tiroler Luftfahrt Aktiengesellschaft, founded in 1980, was the first airline that provided regular flights between Innsbruck and Vienna. In 2000 it operated routes to 50 destinations. The 35 aircraft of Tyrolean Airways are used in scheduled and charter traffic. Since 1998 Tyrolean Airways has been wholly owned byAustrian Airlines. (Ownership structure in 1995: Austrian Airlines and Gernot Langes-Swarovski GmbH both held three-sevenths (about 43%) and Leipnik-Lundenburger one-seventh (14%) of the capital). The headquarters of Tyrolean Airways are in Innsbruck. In 1999 Tyrolean Airways carried 2,039,800 passengers, turnover amounted to more than ATS 4.5 billion.
