Trebitsch, SiegfriedTrebitsch, Siegfried, b. Vienna, Dec. 21, 1869, d. Zurich (Switzerland), July 3, 1956. Narrative writer, dramatist, poet, translator. Brother of Arthur Trebitsch. Became very significant as a translator of G. B. Shaw's works. Portrayed contemporary society in his novels and stories ("Genesung", 1902; "Weltuntergang", 1903). His autobiography "Chronik eines Lebens" (1951) is very revealing.
