Salzburg, April 20, 1709, ecclesiastical dignitary; half-brother of Count Guidobald Thun-Hohenstein. 1679 Bishop of Seckau, 1687-1709 Archbishop of Salzburg; commissioned important baroque buildings: Kollegien Church, Trinity Church and Ursulinen Church, Priesterhaus, Maria Kirchenthal Church at Lofer, Kleßheim Palace; bought the Salzburg Glockenspiel.
