Ashkelon (Palestine), Sept. 28, 1101, Count von Formbach. 1077 abbot of Sankt Peter, 1090 Archbishop of Salzburg; supporter of Gregorian reform; 1095 expelled by the counter-bishop Berthold von Moosburg; participated in the first crusade and was tortured to death. Though he was not canonized, worship was permitted to the monastery of Admont and Benedictine monasteries in 1884 (feast: Sept. 28).
