Teuffenbach, FriedrichTeuffenbach, Friedrich, b. 1585, d. Innsbruck, Tirol (executed), May 27, 1621, military commander; son of Christoph Teuffenbach, brother of Rudolf Teuffenbach. As one of the leaders of the protestant uprisings in Moravia, he sided with Friedrich V, Elector Palatine (also known as "Winterkönig" i.e. "Winter King") during the Thirty Years´ War, escaped to Switzerland in 1620, was extradited at the initiative of Archduke Leopold V and executed at Innsbruck on May 27, 1621. The emperor´s pardon arrived too late.
