Szabo, WilhelmSzabo, Wilhelm, b. Vienna, Aug. 30, 1901, d. Vienna, June 14, 1986, poet, translator, teacher and secondary school headmaster. During World War II worked as reader for a publisher in Munich. His poetry is simple in form and free from clichés, and is characterised by the experience of the otherness of nature. Friend of W.
