Stöhr, Ernst, b. Sankt Pölten, Nov. 1, 1865, d. Sankt Pölten (Lower Austria), June 17, 1917, painter, poet and musician. Co-founder of the Vienna Secession, student at the Vienna Academy. a characteristic feature of his work was the tension between naturalism and a highly imaginative manner of expression determined by literary objectives.
