Sterrer, KarlSterrer, Karl, b. Vienna, Dec. 4, 1885, d. Vienna, June 10, 1972, painter (esp. portraits, genres, still lifes and landscapes), graphic artist, son of the sculptor Carl S. (1844-1918). Greatly influenced by the Art Nouveau movement "Munich Secessionism" (A. Egger-Lienz, A. Feuerbach). From 1921 lecturer at the College of Fine Arts in Vienna, 1937/38 Rector.
