Spunda, FranzSpunda, Franz, b. Olomouc, Czech Republic (then Olmütz), Dec. 31, 1889, d. Vienna, July 1, 1963, writer and grammar school teacher in Vienna. Wrote occult novels ("Devachan", 1921), later turned to historical novels ("Romulus", 1934; "Alarich", 1937), turned National Socialist; director of the Austrian chapter of the ´National Association of German Writers´ ("Reichsverband deutscher Schriftsteller").
