Sprachinselmuseum, ÖsterreichischesSprachinselmuseum, Österreichisches, Vienna, private museum run by the "Verein der Sprachinselfreunde" ("Association of the Friends of Speech Enclaves"), founded by H. and M. Hornung in 1982 documenting the Speech Enclaves that have been established by Austrians in the countries neighbouring Austria. The museum exhibits maps, books, pictures, sound carriers, objects of folklore and Trachten (traditional costumes). It organises lectures and serves as a meeting place for representatives of speech enclaves.
