Shell Austria AGShell Austria AG, founded as "Shell Petroleum AG" in 1924. Petroleum company which operated the refinery in Vienna-Floridsdorf until 1970. The company holds a 25 % share in the Rohöl-Aufsuchungs AG (RAG) and has participated in petroleum explorations in Egypt since 1976. Headquarters in Lobau (erected in 1971); produces lubricants; Austrian-wide network of petrol stations (361 stations in 1999). In 1999 a turnover of ATS 16.1 billion was achieved with a workforce of 243.
