Sengstschmid, Johann


Sengstschmid, Johann, b. Steinakirchen am Forst, Lower Austria, July 16, 1936, composer; brother of Walter Sengstschmid, father of Wolfgang Sengstschmid. 1987-1997 professor at the Graz University of Music; composed Harmonic Twelve-Tone Music (Klangreihenmusik) following the principles of O. Steinbauer's dodecaphony.


Works: Chamber music, liturgic vocal music. - Writings: Kreatives Spielen mit Tönen, 1976; Zwischen Trope und Zwölftonspiel, 1980.
