Sedlacek, Franz, b. Wroclaw, Poland (then Breslau), Jan. 21, 1891; went missing in Poland in 1945. Painter. Lived in Vienna from 1910, where he studied architecture and chemistry, one of the founders of the Linz artists' association MAERZ in 1913; military service during World War I, 1921 graduation and scientific collaborator at the Vienna Technical Museum. From 1921 regular contributions to exhibitions in the Vienna Secession (member in 1927). Representative of Neo-romanticism and New Objectivity.
