Schutting, Julian vormals Jutta SchuttingSchutting, Julian (formerly Jutta S.), b. Amstetten (Lower Austria), Oct. 25, 1937. Writer. Studied history and German language and literature in Vienna, taught at an Advanced-level Vocational Secondary School for Technical Trade and Industrial Occupations (HTL) from 1965, lives as a freelance writer in Vienna; 1989 sex change. The style of S.'s poetry and prose is very precise and full of reductions and unconventional grammar.
