Schöpf, Joseph AntonSchöpf, Joseph Anton, b. Umhausen (Tyrol), Feb. 5, 1822, Guggenthal (municipality of Koppl, Salzburg), Nov. 21, 1899, theologian. Professor of theology in Salzburg; on the order of Archbishop Prince Friedrich zu Schwarzenberg he founded the Catholic Journeymen's Association there in1852. 1848-1851 editor-in-chief of the "Salzburger Constitutionelle Zeitung" founded by the Archbishop.
