Schönfeld, ThomasSchönfeld, Thomas, b. Vienna, June 17, 1923, chemist. Studied in the USA and from 1947 in Vienna; 1972-1993 professor at the Department of Inorganic Chemistry of the University of Vienna. Published basic research in the field of radiation chemistry; awarded the Erwin Schrödinger Prize of the Austrian Academy of Sciences in 1997. Publications: Radiochemische Methoden der Mikrochemie, 1955 (with E. Broda); Die technischen Anwendungen der Radioaktivität, 1956 (with E. Broda).
