Graz (Styria), Aug. 2, 1755, baroque sculptor, son of Marx Marx Schokotnigg; head of the Styrian Confraternity of Painters and Sculptors. Works: altar sculptures at Graz: Barmherzigenkirche 1753, Cathedral, Stadtpfarrkirche, pilgrimage church of Maria-Trost; Birkfeld (deanery church), Mooskirchen, Voitsberg (all in Styria).
