Industrialist, uncle of Paul Schoeller, from 1833 wholesaler in Vienna; founded the hardware company in Berndorf in 1843 together with H. Krupp and bought a rolling mill in Ternitz in 1862, which was extended and became one of the first and most important Bessemer steelworks (from 1924 Schoeller-Bleckmann). Literature: ÖBL.
