SchoberpassSchober Pass, upper Styria, 849 m, lowest pass of the Alpenhauptkamm (main Alpine crest); separates the Niedere Tauern mountains from the Eisenerz Alps, watershed between Palten (River Enns) and Liesing (River Mur), the valley formed by the two rivers peaks in the south. Traffic route of historic importance; today the Linz- Selzthal- Graz railway line, the road between Linz and Graz and the A 9 Pyhrnautobahn motorway run across the Schober Pass.
