Schmid, Heinrich, * 1885


Schmid, Heinrich, b. Waidhofen an der Ybbs (Lower Austria), June 24, 1885, d. Vienna, May 2, 1949. Architect. Studied with O. Wagner at the Academy of Fine Arts from 1907 to 1910. Worked with H. Aichinger as a freelance architect.


Works: Vienna: Residential building Mariahilferstraße 50, 1922; Verkehrsbüro (Tourist office), Vienna 1st district, 1922-1923; first steel-girder construction building, Rotenturmstrasse, 1931; broadcasting studio, RAVAG-building, 1935-1939 (with C. Holzmeister); council houses in the 3rd district, 5th district and 12th district.
