Schalk, Josef, b. Vienna, March 24, 1857, d. Vienna, Nov. 7, 1900, pianist; brother of Franz Schalk. Acquainted with H. Wolf; taught at the Vienna Conservatory. Known for his piano scores of A. Bruckner´s symphonies.
