SauwaldSauwald region (also called "Passauer Wald"), forested portion of the Bohemian Massif (Austrian granite plateau) situated on the southern side of the Danube in the northern part of the Innviertel region; Haugstein mountain, 895 m high. Residential areas, pasture-land and sparse roads lie at an average altitude of 500-600 m above sea level and overlook deep forest rift valleys. Main towns: Münzkirchen and Engelhartszell.
