Rupertiwinkel

Rupertiwinkel, portion of the Flachgau in the province of Salzburg west of the Salzach River; came into Bavarian possession in 1815/1816 when Salzburg finally became a part of Austria, as Metternich elected to forgo all claims to it. Since then it has belonged to Upper Bavaria, and to Germany since 1871. Main towns: Laufen, Tittmoning and Freilassing.
