Road pricingRoad pricing, system whereby fees are levied for road usage. In contrast to theToll system, road users have to pay for the use of infrastructural resources. The introduction of a general road pricing system for trucks on most Austrian autobahns and Schnellstraße roads is scheduled for the year 2000. At present, electronic toll systems that do not require speed reduction are being tested.
