Riedel GlasRiedel Glas, glass manufacturing company, founded by 1956 Claus Jakob (see)Riedel at Kufstein, Tirol and Schneegattern, Upper Austria, after his factory in Bohemia, which had existed since 1756, was expropriated by the Communist regime in the ČSR. Worldwide largest manufacturer of high-grade handblown tableware glasses; in 1996 produced 3.5 million machine-made and 800,000 handblown glasses, 79% of which were exported; sales in 1996 amounted to ATS 510 million.
