Religious Denominations, churches and religious communities recognised in Austria (as of 1999): Catholic church, Lutheran Protestant church and Reformed Protestant church (1861), Old Catholic church (1877), Jewish communities of Austria (1890, Islamic community of Austria (1912, Islam), Methodist church in Austria (1951), Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (Mormons, 1955), Greek Oriental Church (1967, with following religious communities: 2 Greek Oriental, 1 Serbian Greek Oriental, 1 Romanian Greek Oriental, 1 Russian Orthodox church, 1 Bulgarian Orthodox church (all with seat in Vienna), Armenian Apostolic church in Austria (1973), New Apostolic church in Austria (1975), Austrian Buddhist community (1983, Buddhism), Syrian Orthodox church in Austria (1988). Other religious communities that are legal entities, recognized in Austria since 1998: Baha´I Religious Community in Austria, Union of Baptist Churches in Austria, Fellowship of Evangelical Churches in Austria, Christengemeinschaft - Bewegung für religiöse Erneuerung in Österreich (Antroposophers), Free Christian Church of Austria /Pentecostal Church, Hindi Community of Austria, Jehovas´ Witnesses, Seventh-day Adventist Church and Coptic Orthodox Church in Austria.
