Reimann, ViktorReimann, Viktor, b. Vienna, Jan. 25, 1915, d. Vienna, Oct. 7, 1996, journalist and writer. After illegal national-socialist activities participated in the resistance movement, 1941-1945 under arrest. From July 1945 editor of the "Salzburger Nachrichten", from the end of 1945 until 1948 deputy editor-in-chief. Dec. 1, 1949 to April 20, 1950 editor-in-chief of the "Österreichische Allgemeine Zeitung". 1949-1956 editor-in-chief of the periodical of the Association of Independents, "Neue Front", and member of the Nationalrat, 1956-1960 press secretary of the Federal Administration of Theatres. 1970 columnist at the "Kronen-Zeitung", 1972-1974 editor-in-chief of its local edition for Upper Austria, 1974-1987 chief cultural editor in Vienna. Co-founder of the Verband der Unabhängigen, VdU (Association of Independents). Works: Innitzer, Kardinal zw.
