Ramesch-Knochenhöhle

Ramesch Cave (1,960 m above sea level) situated in the Totes Gebirge Mountains, remains of cave-bear skeletons and Palaeolithic stone items belonging to Neanderthal hunters have been found in this cave. The items probably date back to a warmer climatic period between 65,000 and 31,000 B.C., when reaching such heights in the Alps was feasible.
