Rabenalt, Arthur MariaRabenalt, Arthur Maria, b. Vienna, June 25, 1905, d. Wildbad Kreuth (Germany), Feb. 26, 1993, film and theatre director. From 1921 director at German theatres, 1933 banned from working as a theatre director, then trainee with A. Korda and G. W. Pabst, finally directed his own films. After the war he resumed his work for theatres in both parts of Germany. Works: films: Millionenerbschaft, 1937; "... reitet für Deutschland", 1941; "Die Försterchristel", 1952; "Der Mann im Schatten", 1961. - Publications: Mensch im Spiel, 1947; Film im Zwielicht, 1948; numerous writings on film and theatre. - Edition: Gesammelte Schriften, 1999ff.
