Primavesi, OskarPrimavesi, Oskar, b. Rajcza, Poland, March 15, 1874, d. Vienna, July 26, 1952, engineer. Studied mechanical engineering at Graz University of Technology, in 1900 joined Siemens & Halske company, where he was responsible for a number of pioneering achievements, particularly in the development of the first turbogenerators for the Vienna Electricity Company and in designing large d.c. generators and 25 c.p.s. locomotive motors. 1919-40 Professor at Vienna University of Technology, its rector in 1932/33.
