Pregartbauer, LoisPregartbauer, Lois, b. 1899 Misselsdorf (municipality of Gosdorf, Styria), May 22, 1899, d. Vienna, April 15, 1971, painter. 1916-1918 soldier in World War I, 1920-1921 student at the University of Technology and at the School of Arts and Crafts in Vienna under O. Strnad. 1931 member of the artists' association Hagenbund, representative of New Objectivity. Often used the outskirts of towns and after 1934 landscapes as motifs.
