Portschy, TobiasPortschy, Tobias, b. Oberschützen (Burgenland), Sept. 5, 1905, d. Rechnitz (Burgenland), March 2, 1996, studied law, politician (NSDAP). From 1931 member of the NSDAP, 1933 kreisleiter of south Burgenland, 1935 to March 11, 1938, illegal gauleiter and until Oct. 1938 temporary Landeshauptmann of Burgenland, May 1938 to April 1945 deputy gauleiter of Styria; 1945-1947 in detention camps, until 1951 in prison.
