Piz Buin


Piz Buin Peaks, Großer (alt. 3,312 m) and Kleiner (alt. 3,255 m), double peak of the Silvretta mountains, separated by the Buinlücke gap; primary rock massif at the southernmost point of Vorarlberg (highest mountain of the province), at the Austrian-Swiss border; Großer Ochsentaler Glacier on the northern slope. First ascent in 1865 by I. A. Specht and J. J. Weilenmann. Base: Wiesbadner Hütte (alt. 2,443 m).
