Philipp, Gunther G. PlachetaPhilipp, Gunther (real name: G. Placheta), b. Marosheviz (Rumania), June 8, 1918, physician, author, actor. Wrote texts for revues, later film scripts. Since 1950 one of the busiest comedians of popular theatre; often partner of P. Alexander, mainly film work in Austria and Germany, also TV work. Films: Die Deutschmeister, 1955; Mikosch im Geheimdienst, 1959; Im Weißen Rößl, 1960; Die Abenteuer des Grafen Bobby, 1961; Mariandl, 1961; Unsere tollen Tanten, 1961; Schwejks Flegeljahre, 1964.
