PfaffstättenPfaffstätten, Lower Austria, market town in the district of Baden, alt. 218 m, pop. 2,461, area 7.82 km2, northeast of Baden on the border of the Vienna Basin. - Trade, wine growing, most important wine festival in Austria. - Parish church with late Gothic core, redecorated in Baroque style; chapel in Lilienfelderhof (vineyard, early 14th century); local heritage museum (1950); in the vicinity, Pfaffstättner Kogel mountain (alt. 541 m) with Klesheimwarte observatory, Einödhöhle cave.
