After ballet and singing lessons started as an operetta buffo in Graz, later at the Raimundtheater in Vienna; since 1964 company member of the Vienna Volkstheater, played many roles in stage works by J. Nestroy and made an important contribution to the theatre's Nestroy style. Worked for TV (including the series "Der Sonne entgegen"). Numerous awards.
